The Art and Soul of Creativity

Eagle Parks and Recreation has an amazing new offering for artists of all skill levels—the Eagle Art Studio! The weekly studio is completely free and is held every Tuesday at the Eagle Landing Community Center, located at 175 E Mission Drive.

If you are like me, you are often more inspired in places other than your own home. For myself, I find that when I am in a coffee shop, I can write for hours, while I am often distracted at home by the myriad of nagging things (like that pile of laundry I should be folding…).

For this reason, and many more, the Eagle Art Studio is a great place to explore creative expressions and try out new mediums. Plus, there is always a knowledgeable facilitator there to answer any questions you might have.

Jess Bradley, Recreation Coordinator at Eagle Parks and Recreation, shares her thoughts, “I think that our art studio is important because it allows our community to have a free and welcoming place to create art together, foster ideas, and use their imagination. It’s open every single Tuesday. We offer a blank canvas with tables and chairs. People are welcome to stop by anytime Tuesday 11am-2:00 PM. Bring your own art project and feel free to plug into your own music or chat quietly with your neighbors. People can also bring their own art supplies and easels.”

The next open art studio will be held February 18, 2020. Don’t miss this free chance to express yourself and open the doors of creativity. It’s good for the mind and soul.
