The 148:
Eagle, Idaho – A New Destination is Rising Between Finer Frames and Again Consignment
Downtown Eagle is growing again, and at the heart of this expansion is The 148—a brand-new, thoughtfully designed three-story building that’s poised to become a local favorite. Nestled perfectly between Finer Frames and Again Consignment on East State Street, The 148 is a vision brought to life by longtime Eagle residents and entrepreneurs, Steve and Meg Glasgow.
This exciting project has been years in the making. As Meg Glasgow, owner of Finer Frames, recently shared, “Today is a BIG day! Steve & I have been planning this expansion for years, and today, it begins. Five years ago we began dreaming of a gathering place in downtown Eagle that enhances our hometown. It was important to us that the finishes, architecture, and scale compliment Eagle’s charm. We are excited to introduce you soon to The 148.”
Preserving Eagle’s Charm, While Elevating the Experience
Designed to blend seamlessly with the timeless aesthetic of downtown Eagle, The 148 features classic architectural elements and materials that reflect the area’s warm and welcoming vibe. The exterior finishes and scale are intentionally crafted to respect the character of the town, while introducing a vibrant new hub for locals and visitors alike.
At street level, The 148 will be home to a beautifully designed 3,000-square-foot restaurant—promising to be a new gathering place that invites community, connection, and conversation. Whether you’re stopping in for a morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, or an elegant dinner, this restaurant space will be a major draw and a celebration of Eagle’s culinary scene.
Meet the Visionaries: Steve & Meg Glasgow
The Glasgows are no strangers to downtown Eagle. Meg’s award-winning custom framing gallery, Finer Frames, has long been a cornerstone of Eagle’s art and small business community. With The 148, she and her husband Steve are investing not only in a building but in the long-term vibrancy of downtown Eagle.
Their goal is simple but meaningful: create a space that enhances the community they love, while offering a new destination for locals to enjoy. From the start, every detail—from the layout to the architectural finishes—has been chosen with care, keeping Eagle’s small-town charm front and center.
