Strength for Life: How Strength Studio of Idaho is Transforming Health at Every Age

What if you could get stronger, protect your bones, and improve your everyday life — all in just 20 minutes, twice a week? At Strength Studio of Idaho, that’s not a gimmick, it’s the science-backed reality.

“Our mission is simple,” says Kendra Fournier, manager at Strength Studio of Idaho. “We help people stay healthy and strong so they can enjoy their everyday lives — whether that’s hiking, biking, playing with grandkids, or just getting up and down the stairs without pain.”

The studio works with clients as young as 14 and as old as 97, meeting a wide range of needs — from those wanting to improve athletic performance to individuals recovering from injury or managing chronic health conditions. “Strength training is for everyone,” Kendra emphasizes. “It’s never too early or too late to start.”

    Super Slow and Smart Technology

Strength Studio of Idaho specializes in super slow weightlifting, a method that focuses on controlled, deliberate movements to maximize muscle engagement and minimize injury risk. There’s no cardio here — just targeted strength work that delivers results in minimal time.

In November, the studio added the ARX machine (Adaptive Resistance Exercise), an advanced training tool that responds instantly to the user’s effort, ensuring optimal resistance through the entire movement. “It’s 20 minutes, just like our traditional workouts,” Kendra explains. “But the ARX adapts in real time, giving you the exact resistance you need every second of the exercise.”

    Small Time Commitment, Big Benefits

Sessions last just 20 minutes, twice a week, but the benefits are profound. “Strength training improves bone density, which is huge for people with osteoporosis,” says Kendra. “It makes everyday activities easier and helps you maintain independence as you age.”

The studio’s approach is highly personalized — every client starts with an initial consultation, health history review, and setup period on the machines. “The first two weeks are about getting comfortable,” Kendra says. “By week three, we start increasing weights and tracking progress.”

    Consistency is Key

Kendra stresses that strength training should be treated like any other health appointment. “You wouldn’t skip your dentist or your annual checkup. Strength training deserves that same level of commitment,” she says.

The studio operates Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM, making it easy for clients to fit training into their schedules.

Changing Lives, One Client at a Time

The transformations Kendra has witnessed are inspiring. One client has been with the studio for two decades, losing nearly 100 pounds and experiencing profound physical and emotional improvements. “She’s stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever,” Kendra shares.

Strength Studio of Idaho also participates in the Silver and Fit program, offering eligible Medicare clients one free session a week. “It’s a fantastic way for seniors to maintain their health at no cost,” Kendra notes.

Whether you’re looking to build muscle, protect your bones, or simply feel better in your daily life, Strength Studio of Idaho offers a proven, time-efficient path to lasting strength. “At the end of the day,” Kendra says, “our goal is to help people live their best lives — strong, capable, and confident.”
