Boise Airport’s Concourse A Redefines Travel
Boise Airport’s Concourse A is the centerpiece of the airport’s multi-year BOI Upgrade — a major expansion designed to handle booming passenger demand and boost capacity.
Passenger traffic at BOI has surged in recent years, promptingthe airport to plan a new terminal wing with up to tenadditional gates to support more flights and airline options.

The concourse is being thoughtfully designed with future growth in mind. Initial construction may focus on a seven-gate option with phased additions later, ensuring flexibility and cost control while still expanding capacity. An apron-
level enclosed structure will support expanded operations and storage space, enabling larger aircraft to use the facility and improving behind-the-scenes logistics.

Inside, planners are carving out room for a range of passenger conveniences, including concession areas, right-sized restrooms, and additional amenities that enhance comfort and experience. Design priorities also emphasize maximizing natural light and views to create a welcoming, airy atmosphere for travelers. Efficient circulation will ensure
easy access to the outside, and dedicated space will be set aside for storage and custodial operations, supporting the concourse’s long-term functionality. Concourse A is a bold investment in the region’s future air service, reinforcing BOI’s role as a thriving gateway
for the Treasure Valley.
