Discovering Healing at Rise Modern Wellness in Eagle, Idaho
As the Editor-in-Chief of Eagle Magazine, I’m always on the lookout for unique, innovative businesses in our community that improve quality of life. Little did I know that I would find myself personally relying on one of these businesses after a sudden back and neck injury.
It started with what should have been a peaceful walk with my dog. A slip and fall on the icy trail in McCall left me with sharp pain down the center of my back and both sides of my neck. Rest and ice weren’t cutting it, and I needed faster relief. That’s when I turned to Rise Modern Wellness, located right here in Eagle, Idaho.
A Personal Path to Recovery
I walked into Rise Modern Wellness in pain but full of hope. Michelle, the owner, immediately made me feel welcome. After hearing about my injury, she recommended a combination of whole body cryotherapy and localized cryotherapy to reduce inflammation and promote healing. Cryotherapy involves exposing your body to extremely cold temperatures, which triggers a natural anti-inflammatory response and helps the body heal itself.

Stepping into the state-of-the-art cryotherapy chamber was an experience I won’t forget. The chamber, imported from Finland, is the only one of its kind in Idaho. It’s electric and fan-based, ensuring precise temperature control for safety and effectiveness. While the intense cold took my breath away, I could feel the relief almost instantly. The localized cryotherapy session targeted my neck and back, providing even more focused healing. I walked out of the session feeling like I had taken a big step toward recovery. The blood flushing back into my body after it centralized to my vital organs due to extreme cold left me feeling euphoric. The pain was still lingering a little, but after REM sleep like I’ve never experienced, I was moving a lot better.
