New Senior Living Option in Eagle, Idaho: Aurelia Living Offers Boutique Shared Housing for Independent Seniors

Founded by nurses Faith and Wyatt Keen, Aurelia Living in Eagle, Idaho, offers independent older adults a unique shared senior living experience focused on community, connection, and aging in place.

Families searching for senior living in Eagle, Idaho now have a new option that bridges the gap between traditional independent living and assisted living.

Located in the beautiful Dry Creek Ranch community just north of Eagle, Aurelia Living is introducing a boutique shared senior living concept designed for independent older adults who desire companionship, convenience, and the comforts of home without the burdens of maintaining a house alone.

Founded by Idaho natives and nurses Faith and Wyatt Keen, Aurelia Living was created after years of caring for older adults and witnessing firsthand the challenges many seniors face as they age.

Filling the Gap Between Independent Living and Assisted Living

“My husband Wyatt and I created Aurelia Living after seeing firsthand the challenges families experience as their loved ones age,” Faith Keen said. “We met so many older adults who were still independent but struggling with isolation, home maintenance, or simply living alone.”

Unlike large retirement communities or traditional assisted living facilities, Aurelia Living offers a smaller, more personal environment.

“This model exists in many other states, but it’s still very new to Idaho,” Keen explained. “It’s independent living, but in a shared home environment.”

For seniors who are still active and independent, Aurelia Living provides an appealing alternative to waiting for a health crisis before moving into assisted living.

    What Makes Aurelia Living Different?

The 3,000-square-foot home features three private furnished suites, each complete with its own private bathroom, creating an intimate and personalized living experience.

    Guests enjoy:

    • Home-cooked meals prepared daily
    • Housekeeping and laundry services
    • Daily social interaction and companionship
    • Private furnished suites with en suite bathrooms
    • Access to neighborhood walking paths, community events, and gathering spaces
    • A comfortable home setting rather than an institutional environment

The home is intentionally designed to remain intimate, accommodating a maximum of four guests, while also remaining open to welcoming one couple if it is the right fit.

“This is definitely a community feel,” Keen said. “People who choose Aurelia want to be part of a home and enjoy being connected with others.”

    Daily Support Without Losing Independence

While Aurelia Living is not an assisted living facility and does not provide medical care, medication administration, or hands-on personal care, guests benefit from daily support and peace of mind.

A member of the Aurelia team is present every day to prepare meals, assist with household tasks, and provide meaningful social interaction.

“They’re not just dropping off food and leaving,” Keen said. “Someone is here every day cooking, connecting, and making sure our guests are doing well.”

Families also gain reassurance knowing their loved one is not living alone.

“The daughters and sons of our guests know someone is checking in on Mom or Dad every day,” she said.

Outside care providers can also be brought in if additional services become necessary.

Why Dry Creek Ranch Is Ideal for Aging Well

One of Aurelia Living’s greatest advantages is its location within Dry Creek Ranch, one of Eagle’s premier master-planned communities.

Guests can enjoy scenic walking paths, neighborhood gathering spaces, seasonal events, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to foster connection and community.

“There are always activities happening here,” Keen said. “It’s a very community-based neighborhood.”

The Keens also plan to provide a golf cart, allowing guests to easily attend neighborhood events, explore the community, and enjoy outings throughout the neighborhood.

    • Seeking more day-to-day social connection
    • Looking for an alternative to maintaining a home alone
    • Interested in a more intimate setting than a large retirement community

“We believe older adults shouldn’t have to choose between maintaining their independence and having meaningful daily connection,” Keen said.

For now, the Keens plan to grow thoughtfully while maintaining the personalized atmosphere that makes Aurelia unique.

“We want to keep it small and personal,” Keen said. “Our priority is creating an exceptional experience and making this feel like home.”
