There’s something quietly powerful about a brand built not just on style, but on sisterhood. For Kiley and Lynsee Voss, co-founders of LK Blue, denim isn’t just fabric—it’s memory, movement, and meaning stitched together between Los Angeles and the small-town charm of Eagle and Star.
At first glance, their story feels like a modern fashion fairytale—two sisters launching a denim line in LA, landing in boutiques, and building a brand with intention. But spend a few minutes with them (and their dad, Joe), and you realize this isn’t about overnight success. It’s about family, grit, and a very clear vision of what they wanted denim to be.
“We didn’t come from fashion,” Kiley admits. “I was in sales and marketing; Lynsee was in tech sales—but we always had a passion for it. We just kept coming back to denim.”
That pull wasn’t random. Growing up in Los Angeles, the sisters spent years thrifting, searching for that perfect pair of jeans—the right weight, the right wash, the right fit. And like so many women, they kept coming up short.
“You deserve more than one favorite pair of jeans,” Lynsee says. “We wanted to create a line where every pair in your closet could be your go-to.” And so, LK Blue was born—named from their initials and inspired by the very thing they set out to perfect. Their mantra is simple: Live in Blue.
Behind the scenes, the sisters credit a key figure who helped turn their vision into reality—a mentor in the fashion world who became like a second father to them. With decades of experience in the fabric and import/export industry, he helped guide them through the complexities of building a fashion brand in Los Angeles. Through his connections, LK Blue was able to keep production local, ensuring every pair is made in LA with a hands-on approach and a deep respect for the process.
What sets LK Blue apart isn’t just aesthetic—its intention. Each pair is made in Los Angeles using 100% cotton denim, crafted through an eighteen-step wash process that creates a texture and feel you simply won’t find in mass-produced denim. There are no shortcuts here—no pre-distressed gimmicks, no fast-fashion compromises. “These jeans actually get better with time,” Lynsee explains. “They mold to your body. They become yours.”
Their first collection is a curated capsule of four silhouettes, each inspired by a place that shaped them in LA. The Kinney low-rise baggy channels the creative, effortless energy of Abbott Kinney. The Bel Air boot cut offers something more elevated—perfect for dinners out or dressed-up moments. The Mayfield straight, named after the street where the idea for LK Blue truly took shape, is their everyday essential. And the Beverly high-rise brings structure and polish, a nod to timeless style.
While the brand lives and breathes Los Angeles, its heartbeat is undeniably tied to Idaho. Their dad, Joe Voss, now a full-time Star resident, plays a pivotal role in the company—supporting, connecting, and championing his daughters every step of the way. “I’m just here to support them and steward them where I can,” he says. “They’re on their own path, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
Joe and his wife Sue made the move to Idaho after their daughters graduated college, drawn by a lifestyle shift that many are now seeking—but they never left the girls behind in spirit. Instead, they became a bridge between two worlds: the fast-paced fashion scene of LA and the grounded, community-driven life of Eagle and Star.
That connection has already made an impact. LK Blue recently found a home inside Intuition Boutique in Eagle, thanks to a chance discovery—and a shared belief in supporting emerging brands with heart.
For the Voss family, growth isn’t about flooding the market. It’s about being intentional. “We want to be in key stores, keeping exclusivity within a few miles to let both the brand and the boutique shine,” Kiley shares. It’s a strategy rooted in longevity—a word that comes up often in conversation with them. Legacy over trends. Quality over quantity. Relationships overreach.
Of course, building a brand isn’t without its challenges. Like many entrepreneurs, the sisters have experienced the emotional highs and lows that come with creating something from scratch. “One day you’re on a high, the
next you’re questioning everything,” Lynsee says with a laugh. “But you learn to stay even.”
For Kiley and Lynsee, one of the biggest lessons has been learning to pause. “We’ve had to remind ourselves to celebrate the small wins,” Lynsee says. “Not just focus on what’s next.” That mindset feels fitting for a brand that’s all about living in the moment—about finding beauty in what you wear every day, not just on special occasions.

And while their future includes expanding across the country, growing their wholesale presence, and continuing to build their online community, their foundation remains the same: family first.
They return to Eagle and Star often—six to eight times a year—grounding themselves in the place that reminds them why they started. Because in the end, LK Blue isn’t just about denim. It’s about two sisters chasing an idea, a father cheering them on from Idaho, a mentor guiding them from Los Angeles—and a brand that proves you can build something meaningful, no matter how many miles stretch between where you are and where you’re going.
For those eager to experience the fit, feel, and intention behind each design, their denim can be found locally at Intuition Boutique.
