The fall theme is “King Lear and His Daughters”.
Friday, December 16. Christopher Moore, Fool. A carnivalesque and bawdy rewriting of Lear set in 1288. The protagonist is Lear’s fool Pocket, who, along with his daft apprentice Drool, seeks to sort out the chaos wrought by Lear’s court.
Book discussions are help at the Boise Public Library, 715 S. Capitol Blvd., from 12:10 to 1:00 PM, and are free and open to the public. Books are available at Rediscovered Books on 8th Street between Main and Idaho which gives a 10% discount and at the BSU Bookstore in the Student Union Building (426-1362), which gives a 25% discount.
