DESCRIPTION
Boise Blues Society ushers in its 25th year of bringing the best in blues music to Boise and Treasure Valley with its successful annual Fat Tuesday Celebration and Fundraiser. All proceeds from this event help support the BBS Blues in the Schools program, which provides free blues education and live music programs free-of-charge to any area school, and scholarships to young promising musicians.
The 2017 Fat Tuesday features four fine local Blues Bands:
- Blues Collective
- Jake Leg
- The Blues Directors
- The Blues Addicts with Brass Tacks Horns (headliner)
That’s more than 4 hours of a great selection of blues music. The show begins at 6pm (doors @ 5:30) at Playhouse Boise, 8001 W Fairview, near the intersection of Fairview and Milwaukee. Besides all this music, the show includes a costume contest (costumes definitely encouraged!) colorful Mardi Gras room decor, full bar and theme-oriented food available for purchase, and the Playhouse’s large dance floor for your enjoyment!
Mark this date down now and come to our Silver Anniversary Celebration and join our biggest party of the year! It’s always a sell out in advance so get our tickets early!!
