If you’ve ever wandered past the Eagle Performing Arts Center and wondered what magic happens behind those studio doors, now’s your chance to step inside. On Friday, August 15 from 5–7 PM, EPAC will open its doors to the public for a fun, interactive, and inspiring Open House—an event perfect for families curious about ballet, tap, or contemporary dance.
At the heart of this thriving studio is Elizabeth Keller, a former principal dancer with Ballet Idaho, Trey McIntyre Project and a 12-year veteran of the Miami City Ballet. With decades of experience performing on national stages and now teaching in Eagle, Liz brings both expertise and warmth to every student she mentors.
“I’m passionate about creating a space that is not only technically strong, but artistically rich and deeply supportive,” she says. “Whether you’re training to become a professional dancer or just discovering the joy of movement, we want every student to feel seen and artistically inspired.”
Why Attend the Open House?
The EPAC Open House is more than just an informational event—it’s a full experience designed to welcome families, introduce the faculty, and get kids excited about dance.
Here’s what you can expect:
Meet the Faculty: Dancers and parents can get to know the highly qualified EPAC instructors and caring staff, including tap master Andrew Nemmer (trained under Gregory Hines), and hear firsthand about the school’s focus on classical ballet, tap, and contemporary dance.

Tour the Studio: Walk through EPAC’s beautiful space—including the transformed black box performance area—and get a feel for where your child will be training.
Pointe Shoe Fittings: Empire Dance Shop from Spokane will be on-site for leotard fittings, tights, and professional pointe shoe fittings—a must for new and returning ballet students.
Registration Help On-Site: Get assistance with class registration, ask questions, and secure your child’s spot before classes fill up.
Bun Tutorial: For parents of younger dancers, don’t miss the adorable bun tutorial—a quick how-to on creating the perfect ballet bun.
Light Refreshments: Enjoy cookies and refreshments while mingling with faculty, fellow parents, and EPAC alumni.
Who Is EPAC For?
EPAC welcomes dancers of all ages and experience levels. Programs include:
Ballet: Ages 3½ to adult
Tap: Ages 6 to 18
Contemporary: Intermediate and advanced students looking to deepen expression and versatility
Whether your child dreams of the stage or simply wants to explore movement in a positive, professional environment, EPAC offers something for every dancer.
“The Proof Is in the Pudding”
“Our students don’t just learn steps—they embody the art form, developing not just as dancers, but as expressive and thoughtful artists,” says Keller. “And the quality of our training really speaks for itself. Dancers come to us when they’re ready to take the next step in their training and development.”
EPAC also serves as the home of Idaho Regional Ballet, the state’s premier pre-professional company, offering the top levels of the school a track toward performance excellence. Last season alone, IRB dancers were awarded over $9,000 in scholarships to top-tier summer intensives and collegiate dance programs across the country.
But at its core, EPAC is about building confidence, expression, and lifelong love for the arts.
