It’s no secret that car washes are everywhere in the Treasure Valley. In fact, when Adam Pitale moved here, he couldn’t help but notice just how many there were. “They were never really on my radar,” he says, “until I moved here and realized that every corner had one—and not one of them offered a wash that didn’t leave your wheels scratched or your back bumper still dirty.”

Adam would know. He’s not just another detail-obsessed car enthusiast—he’s the founder of Adam’s Polishes, one of the most recognized brands in car care. So when he says the car wash experience here was lacking, he means it.

“The brushes scratch your paint. The wheel guides ruin your rims—I mean, my wife scratched the wheels on her brand-new Audi just going through one. And no matter which one you pick, the back of your car is still dirty, the door jambs are still dirty, and if you want the interior clean, well, you better do it yourself.”
After five years of living in the Valley, Adam got fed up with the options and decided to do what he does best: raise the bar. Together with longtime friend and fellow industry expert Tony D’Amato—formerly with Buyer’s Car Care Products—they created Enzo’s, a premium hand wash and detailing experience located right here in Eagle.

But the Enzo story didn’t start in Idaho—it started decades ago on the trade show circuit.
“I worked for Meguiar Car Care for 22 years—probably closer to 25 unofficially,” Tony shares. “And Adam was doing his thing with Adam’s Polishes. We’d see each other at trade shows all over the country. Usually, we were set up right across the midway from each other, talking shop and competing—but always with a lot of mutual respect.”
Their first encounter? Carlisle, Pennsylvania—a legendary hotspot for car shows just outside Harrisburg. “That place is wild—18 shows a year at one fairground,” Tony recalls. “That’s probably where I first met Adam. He was the guy riding his Schwinn around the midway, just having fun, buying up products, always full of energy.”

From there, the two built a friendly rivalry over the years. But in the most unexpected twist, they ended up in the same small Idaho town—completely by chance.
“We didn’t plan it. Had no idea the other was moving,” Tony laughs. “I ran into Adam and his family at the Boise Airport. I was flying back to Orange County and they were just walking in. I thought he was there for work. Then the next week, I see Adam and Melissa again—at the gate, this time I’m flying to Pebble Beach. And I’m like… alright, this is weird.”
The universe wasn’t done yet.
“The following Monday, we walk into orientation at our kids’ school—and there’s Adam again,” Tony says. “I just looked at him and said, ‘Alright, we need to have lunch.’ We grabbed a bite at Rembrandts later that week, and that was really the start of this new chapter.”
That unexpected reunion—August 23, to be exact—turned into a full-circle moment, and eventually, a business venture neither saw coming.
“We both have a deep love for clean cars,” Tony explains, “but we also have a very different perspective than most car wash operators. We come from the world of detailers, DIYers, and people who obsess over every inch of their vehicle. That care and craftsmanship—that’s what’s going to set us apart.”

And that’s exactly what Enzo’s is all about.
The name itself? A nod to Adam’s 11-year-old son, Enzo—because yes, he’s Italian, and yes, all three of his boys (Vincenzo, Cristiano, and Luca) are affectionately known as “the meatballs.”
The two purchased the aging self-wash facility off State Street that they’d both used and transformed it into something entirely different. No paint-scratching brushes. No wheel-damaging rails. Just experienced car care enthusiasts offering a hand wash experience that’s as precise as it is premium.

But Adam and Tony aren’t stopping there.
“We’re working on adding a café component,” Adam reveals. “Gelato, paninis—Italian street food. Something fun and different. A place where you can hang out while your car’s being detailed. Make it part of your lifestyle.”
In a world full of quick washes and cookie-cutter service, Enzo’s is setting a new standard. It’s about clean cars, yes—but it’s also about community, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way.
“There’s no reason we can’t have premium-level car care here in Idaho,” Adam says. “We just had to build it.”
And now, they have.
Enzo’s is now open in Eagle, Idaho. Come experience clean like never before.
