    Eagle Arts Commission Update

    The Eagle Arts Commission (EAC) is dedicated to promoting art in Eagle and the surrounding areas. They spend their days commissioning artists for various projects like their yearly traffic box wrap installations. Their latest endeavor, however, has been in the making for quite some time and EAC and the town of Eagle is excited to see its completion!

    The EAC held a little friendly competition to select an artist for an incredible project: a vast, collaborative mural to be placed at the North Channel Underpass. Out of the many competitors, six talented artists were selected to leave their mark on the North Channel Underpasss. The mural features incredible artistic scenes, such as a person fishing, unique pine trees, and an inspirational quote, “Focus on the Journey.”

    Not to mention The Eagle Arts Commission maintains two gorgeous display spaces where visitors can stop by and check out a rotating selection of art. The galleries can be found at Eagle City Hall and St. Luke’s in Eagle. The Eagle Arts Commission schedules individuals and group exhibits to showcase their work on a monthly bases. The gallery spaces are free and open to the public any time during regular business hours. Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with exceptions for holidays.     The Eagle Arts Commission is also a proud sponsor of several cultural and artistic events annually. “This year we provided funding for the Eagle Plein Air Festival, Idaho Regional Ballet, Boise Baroque Orchestra, Eagle Art Walk, Eagle Theater Company and Open Studio Treasure Valley. All of which are hosted in the City of Eagle,” shared Holly Csencsits, admin clerk at the EAC.
