Beginning in 1985, America started recognizing July as the nation’s official Park and Recreation month. With fun themes each year, Parks and Rec is excited to help families everywhere enjoy the outdoors. This year’s theme is super heroes! t’s a perfect opportunity to get outside and enjoy all that Eagle has to offer. Be a local super hero and celebrate with the City of Eagle Parks and Recreation Department.
The best way to celebrate with us is by participating in Eagle Fun Days on July 8-9, 2016. On Friday, July 8th, join the super heroes of Parks and Recreation at Eagle City Hall from 6-9pm for Family Fun Night. You’ll meet Captain Community, the Green Guardian, and the Fit Twins and enjoy an evening of food, games, and family entertainment. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, sports activities, cornhole, police & fire obstacle courses, music, and more!
On Saturday July 9th, celebrate Eagle as the city hosts a fun run, parade, Saturday Market, live music, a custom car show, cornhole tournament, and more. Be sure to appreciate the events at Heritage Park, a local park located in the heart of downtown Eagle where most of the activities will be held. Find your super powers by visiting a park, registering for a recreation program, or by participating in any of the activities offered in July and throughout the rest of the year.
