Whether you are training for a marathon, digging deeper into a yoga practice, or simply suffering from chronic lower back pain from too many hours sitting at your desk – a proper stretching routine can have a substantial impact in your quality of life. Franchise owner Suzanne Ely has brought a solution to Eagle with StretchLab.
StretchLab offers one-on-one assisted stretching sessions designed to increase mobility & flexibility, reduce pain, improve posture, reduce recovery time, and promote overall wellness. Clients can choose a 25- or 50-minute session with an experienced Flexologist™. Each Flexologist™ goes through a rigorous training program designed by the world’s leading authority on stretching and flexibility. The result is a dedicated professional who can help you work through the best stretching routine for your body and your goals.
“Your body spends its day trying to hold you together, restricting motion, tightening muscles, pulling you back in. StretchLab reverses this negative process, opening you back up with the newfound energy and freedom that comes from your body moving, working and feeling exactly the way you want it to,” Ely explained. “We have created an environment where we take the time to listen to your body and collaborate with you on your flexibility journey. Having an increased range of motion and properly balanced body will increase your performance not only in your physical activity but in your daily routine as well.”
StretchLab is Ely’s ‘third act’ – though her love of sports and fitness started at a young age. After earning her MBA from MIT, she partnered with her father in a consulting business for startup companies in the telecommunications industry. In her spare time, Ely worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer at the local YMCA. After moving to Eagle in 1998, Ely stepped back from the workforce to raise a family, volunteered for a variety of local non-profit organizations, and continued to teach fitness classes at several gyms in the Treasure Valley.
After her youngest son graduated from Eagle High, she was ready to take on a new adventure with fitness in mind. After an extensive search of franchise opportunities, she found that StretchLab best fit with her desire to help people with effective fitness methodologies and a proven history of success. She opened the StretchLab Eagle location in November 2018 and the StretchLab Boise location in July 2019.
When it came to choosing a location in Eagle, Ely was drawn to The Bridges at Lakemoor, a lifestyle-focused center. She believes that the development of centers like Lakemoor are an excellent option for businesses to make the most of the population growth in Eagle.
“With so much of our lives now taking place online, it’s important to have walkable, amenity-rich mixed-use developments that embrace locally-owned businesses. It’s a win for the city, the landlord, the small business and all Eagle residents,” Ely noted.
StretchLab Eagle is located at 2826 S Eagle Road, Suite 150 in Eagle. For more information about StretchLab Eagle or StretchLab Boise, please visit www.stretchlab.com.
