    Healthcare in Eagle

With the boom of the healthcare industry, Eagle has found itself at the epicenter of a growing number of highly qualified providers and other members of the health and wellness field. In addition to the many options available, they are all relatively close and available, which adds significant value to quality of life in the community. Here is a brief introduction to a few of the individuals who have helped improve the Treasure Valley’s wellbeing, one patient at a time.

Shah Afshar is the owner and pharmacist at Customedica Pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy that specializes in creating—or compounding—medications. Afshar graduated from Idaho IMG_0090-EditState University’s College of Pharmacy in 1979 and has been practicing in Idaho ever since. He has owned three pharmacies in the Boise area, beginning in the 1980s, and opened Customedica Pharmacy in 2002. Customers appreciate his attention to detail and expert advice, along with the welcoming atmosphere of the pharmacy. He is truly passionate in his endeavor to personally know each person that comes into Customedica Pharmacy, and to provide him or her with a consistent and high quality experience. The pharmacy is located at 149 West State Street Suite 101.

Dr. Brett Rodgers, of Rodgers Center for Plastic Surgery, is Boise’s trusted expert for facial plastic surgery, tattoo removal, and allergy treatments. Dr. Rodgers is a double board surgeon in both Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. He has been in private practice since 2001 and has provided many patients with expert care. Dr. Rodgers enjoys being a part of the Eagle community, which allows him to spend time with his family enjoying outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, boating, and dirt bike riding. The Rodgers Center for Plastic Surgery is located at 6077 North Eagle Road.

Dr. Jeremy Hixson of Eagle Oral Surgery is incredibly dedicated to the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery, which is evident in his constant pursuit of education. Dr. Hixson has completed advanced specialty training and successfully finished his written (qualifying board) exam and will be taking the oral boards—the final step towards becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery—in February of 2016. Dr. Hixson has already been certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He takes his profession very seriously and takes pride in treating every patient as if they were his family members. Patients can find Eagle Oral Surgery at 197 West State Street.

As the city of Eagle has grown in recent years, its need for quality healthcare professionals has grown as well. Fortunately, a growing number of pharmacists, physicians, and other medically trained individuals are not only providing these critical services, but are becoming involved in the community.
