Boise Juice Company: More Than Just a Smoothie Shop

    By Monica Pierce

When Jes Heubach found out that the young woman she visited weekly at the local farmers market for her favorite cold-pressed juices wasn’t going to be making them anymore, she took matters into her own hands. Heubach reached out to a friend who had a smoothie shop to seek advice about running such a business, only to learn that her friend was planning to sell the smoothie shop. So, with a twist of fate and the support of her husband as co-owner, Boise Juice Company was born.

The original Boise Juice shop is located on State Street in north Boise and offers whole food smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and acai bowls (acai is a South American berry-like fruit that is a diverse foundational superfood often paired with fruit, granolas and other toppings served in a bowl).

All Boise Juices are extracted using the cold press method. This process doesn’t heat up the produce and limits oxidation which in turn maintains the integrity of the plants’ cellular structure and extracts the purest form of juice with the greatest density of nutrients and flavor. No dairy, ice, artificial extracts or processed sugars are added. Boise Juice is just pure, organic whole foods.

Because it is unpasteurized and has live and active enzymes, nutrients, vitamins and minerals that your body utilizes, the shelf life of Boise Juice is just four days, making it only available via direct sale to local customers. Fortunately, Boise Juice is now even easier to get your hands on, with a third location recently opened on Eagle Road just down the hill from Chinden.

In addition to sales in their stores, Boise Juice Company also delivers across the Treasure Valley and they are available to cater various types of events from corporate meetings to fitness center openings.

With a fourth location coming in south Meridian next spring plus an established, recognizable brand, many people think Boise Juice Company is a small franchise corporation. But it is in fact locally owned and family operated and plans to stay that way.

Heubach is passionate about the health benefits Boise Juice offers to customers and she is thrilled to see the positive response the community is having to her purposeful products. She enjoys helping customers learn about the amazing ability our bodies have to absorb nutrients from fresh produce. As popular as juice “cleanses” are, Heubach wants people to know that you don’t necessarily have to do a “cleanse” to gain the benefits of these juices. Simply adding Boise Juice to your diet is a valuable supplement to any healthy lifestyle.

Following its mission to stand for health, wellness, sustainability, and balance, Boise Juice Company is also doing its part to support the Treasure Valley’s farming economy by sourcing as much of its fresh produce as they can from local organic farmers.

So, if you’re looking for a way to support local business and your health, visit Boise Juice Company. With enticing flavors like ‘TropicKALE’ and ‘Turn Up the BEET’, there are plenty of options to explore.
