Grand Opening Celebration Scheduled for June 24 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Homeowners, builders, architects, and designers now have a new place to explore smart home technology in the Treasure Valley. Audio Doctor has opened its new Home Technology Design Center in Meridian, an interactive showroom where visitors can experience home automation, lighting, entertainment, security, and networking solutions firsthand.
Co-owner Darren Reynolds recently gave Eagle Magazine a tour of the showroom, which demonstrates how technology can simplify and enhance daily living.
A Complete Smart Home Experience
Audio Doctor specializes in:
- Home automation systems
- Home theaters and media rooms
- Whole-home audio and video
- Security cameras and alarm systems
- Advanced Wi-Fi and networking
- Motorized shades
- Lighting control systems
- Outdoor audio and lighting
“We’re calling this space the Home Technology Design Center,” Reynolds said. “Anything technology-related for the home is really what we focus on.”
Control4: The Operating System for Your Home
Many Audio Doctor projects are built around Control4, a leading home automation platform that allows homeowners to manage lighting, music, security, shades, and entertainment from a touchscreen, remote, keypad, or smartphone.
Reynolds describes it as “an operating system for your house.”
With a single touch, homeowners can activate customized settings for arriving home, entertaining guests, dining, movie nights, or bedtime.
Lighting That Changes How You Live
One of the showroom’s most impressive features is its focus on lighting design.
Rather than relying on standard recessed lighting, Audio Doctor incorporates human-centered lighting that highlights artwork, cabinetry, furniture, and architectural features. Advanced systems can adjust color temperature throughout the day, creating a more comfortable and functional environment.
“We focus on how people actually live in the space,” Reynolds explained.
Home Theaters and Luxury Living
The showroom also features a dedicated home theater demonstration room equipped with immersive surround sound and cinema-quality performance.
Audio Doctor is currently working on several luxury custom homes throughout Eagle and the Treasure Valley, partnering with builders, architects, and designers to integrate technology early in the design process.
As smart home features become increasingly popular, Reynolds hopes the showroom will help homeowners understand what is possible before they begin building or remodeling.
