Where art and Idaho’s great outdoors meet

The Eagle Plein Air Festival returns October 4–11, bringing more than 80 artists to capture Southwest Idaho’s landscapes—live and in real time. This weeklong celebration features public paint-outs, free art lessons, and opportunities to watch masterpieces take shape right before your eyes.

    Highlights include:

    • Art in the Garden Quick Draw – Saturday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m.–Noon at Old Valley Nursery. Watch artists race the clock to create a finished painting in two hours, with live jazz, local wine, and works for sale straight off the easel.
    • Daily Painting Demos – Oct. 6–10, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at Merrill Park. Professional artists share techniques in oil, watercolor, pastel, and more. Bring a chair and enjoy art in the open air.
    • Scenic Paint-Outs – From Hyde Park by moonlight to vineyards, historic farmsteads, and riverside parks, artists will paint in stunning locations across the Treasure Valley. All events are free and open to the public.

    • Festival Show & Sale – Saturday, Oct. 11, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Eagle City Hall, alongside Eagle’s Harvest Festival. Browse hundreds of original paintings, enjoy live music, and meet the artists.

Discover creativity in motion and celebrate the beauty of Idaho—one brushstroke at a time.
