It’s cold. Wet. Rainy. Periodically snowy. This Idaho weather is—predictably—unpredictable. But luckily, the Eagle Public Library, located at 100 N. Stierman Way, is a great way to spend a rainy (or snowy) day indoors.

And besides a plethora of amazing books for adults and children alike, they have several fun events to check out this month!

We don’t often look to our local libraries for anything besides a good book, but the libraries in the Treasure Valley (did you know you could schedule a FREE 3D printing at the library!?) are not just a nice place to enjoy a novel. Yes, they have that too, but check out what else they have going on:

  • February 11 (Tuesday): Valentine’s Day Party. Make a necklace for you or a friend and enjoy a tasty treat!
  • February 12 (Wednesday): Soaring Eagles Toastmasters. “The Soaring Eagles Toastmasters is an international, nonprofit organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. Regular meetings on Wednesdays are open to all!” Going until April.
  • February 22 (Saturday): Sand Painting. Fun with colored sand!
  • February 25 (Tuesday): Pop Art Cupcake Decorating. Need we say more?!

Listen, the winter blues are no joking matter. For those of us that aren’t avid snowboarders or Nordic skiers, the chill of February can be a bit daunting. But there is absolutely no reason not to get out. The Treasure Valley is filled to the hilt with things to do, all year long, and let’s face it, you need to get out of the house. So, bundle up, and head to the Eagle Public Library, because who wouldn’t want to go decorate cupcakes? As long as you can eat it afterwards, right?

Oh, by the way, they have way more events. Click the image below for more.
